Elmore Quartet
The Elmore Quartet is an award-winning ensemble founded in 2017 at the Royal Northern College of Music, recipients of the Tunnell Trust Awards and current Hans Keller Chamber Fellows at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. They have performed at Wigmore Hall, made multiple recordings for BBC Radio 3, and in 2024 were awarded third prize at the prestigious Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition. Bringing them to this concert series offers audiences a rare opportunity to hear one of the most exciting emerging quartets in Britain today.

Linos Piano Trio

Apricity Trio
Formed in 2023 by Royal College of Music students Madelaine Napier, Alicja Kojder, and Nathan Quilter, the Apricity Trio are an exceptional young ensemble mentored by artists including Jakob Kullberg and Sinéad O’Halloran, and already performing in London, Wales, and Denmark. Their adventurous programmes balance beloved classics with rare and overlooked works that deserve far wider audiences, delivered with warmth, flair, and real musical maturity. With local appearances at St Michael’s already under their belt, this series is a wonderful opportunity to bring their talent to new Exeter audiences.

Martin Roscoe
With a career spanning over five decades, Martin Roscoe is one of the UK’s most loved and respected pianists, with a repertoire encompassing over 100 concertos and more than 600 broadcasts including seven BBC Proms appearances. His extensive discography for Hyperion, Chandos, and Naxos reflects the breadth and intellectual depth of his musical interests. Described by the Daily Telegraph as a pianist who “both thinks and offers full-blooded playing of breadth and depth”, his presence in this concert series is a significant draw for audiences across the region.

Dumnonii Consort
Founded in 2023 by artistic director Matthew Jeffrey, this eight-part vocal ensemble comprises high-calibre professional singers based in Exeter, many associated with the Cathedral choir and performing across the UK and internationally. Their repertoire spans the full sweep of classical vocal music, from the intricacy of early polyphony to the present day, and their performances are widely praised for their beauty, emotional depth, and commanding ensemble presence. Taking its name from the ancient Celtic tribe who inhabited Devon and Cornwall, the Consort brings a strong sense of regional identity to everything they do, performing at Exeter Cathedral, Exeter University Chapel, and this spring at Buckfast Abbey.
